Upon the recommendation of Dr. Varatharajah of Mullivaikkaal, recently we undertook the remodeling of a kitchen facility run by SAVE-ACT Foundation for people who had lost their limbs in the war.
These disabled individuals will now be able to take care of their cooking needs with minimal help from outside. We have also offered to pay for all their kitchen supplies provided that they buy them from the Self-Help Women Groups of SUYAM only. The total cost of the project was $1,800 CAD.
